The Mud Song

(Casey Lee Smith)

Me, my brother Shane and some of our friends went muddin' after a big rain in Phoenix. Yeah, I know, it does rain once in a while and when it does. It doesn't matter the time, day or what else you have to do. It's muddin time! Well, we got back and my mom looked at all of us and the truck and we were covered head to toe in mud. She went right in and started to work on our new song, The Mud Song!
The Mud Song

It’s been raining for days
Now the suns comin’ out
The air is cool and sweet
There’s a place we like to meet
After things start drying up
We’re not waitin for the weekend
We’re just lookin for some fun
Let go down
To the ol’ mud hole

CHORUS
We’ve got buds, crown and strawberry ripple
Got some tunes, Keith, Kenny and Cagle
Rails and buggies and Billy’s Ford Truck
Man, don’t get yourself stuck

You’ll be singing the mud song.

If you’re young or old
Whether boy or girl
It’s fun to play
‘til the morning sun
Some just park and watch
And others lay it to the floor
We’ll be playing all night
So Bring your big boy toys

CHORUS
We’ve got buds, crown and strawberry ripple
Got some tunes, Keith, Kenny and Cagle
Rails and buggies and Billy’s Ford Truck
Man, don’t get yourself stuck

You’ll be singing the mud song

Bridge

Rev’ em up - Hold on tight
Splashing and spraying all through night
Gramdpas on the sidelines kissing Gram’ma
And kids in mud playing with their Tonka trucks

We’re all singing the mud song.
Yeah, we’re all singing the mud song.
